This year has seen Rihanna receive critical acclaim, grace the cover of multiple fashion magazines, become a Covergirl, become a fashion icon and runway star, break records and give us the most unforgettable lyric of the year with her # 1 smash single, “Umbrella.” Now capping off this already stellar year, Rihanna and her platinum album Good Girl Gone Bad have captured six Grammy nominations.

The full list of Rihanna and Good Girl Gone Bad nominations are as follows:

* Best Rap/Sung Collaboration- Umbrella w/JAY-Z
* Song Of the Year- Umbrella w/JAY-Z
* Record Of the Year- Umbrella w/ JAY-Z
* Best Dance Recording- Please Don’t Stop The Music
* Best R&B Vocal Performance By A Duo or A Group- Hate That I Love You w/Ne-Yo
* Best R&B Song- Hate That I Love You w/Ne-Yo

This year’s Grammy Awards will be held on February 10th, 2008 at The Staples Center in Los Angeles and will again be broad­cast in High Definition TV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS television network (and around the world), 8:00-11:30 p.m. (EST/PST).

Rihanna’s chart topping, record breaking single, “Umbrella” and her 3rd album, Good Girl Gone Bad, have already scored several awards and critical acclaim. This year, she has taken top honors at several award shows including MTV’s Video Music Awards, winning the top prize, VIDEO OF THE YEAR for “Umbrella,” and FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the American Music Awards.

Good Girl Gone Bad has two singles going strong. “Hate That I Love You,” featuring labelmate, Ne-Yo, has scored Rihanna her 8th Top Ten single on Billboard’s Top 40 chart. Rihanna’s latest single “Don’t Stop The Music” is this week’s #1 Most Added song in R&R with 23 new stations including 8 more major markets a month before the official impact. Both have propelled the album to sell over 3 million albums worldwide. In June 2007, 19-year old Rihanna launched her first ads as the newest CoverGirl, joining the ranks of Molly Sims, Christie Brinkley and Keri Russell. Rihanna reinforces the CoverGirl brand’s heritage in music.

In 2007, Rihanna has solidified herself as a worldwide force.
