Rihanna Set To Rock!

R&B siren Rihanna is among the many celebrities set to appear at the 2nd Annual Black Girls Rock! Awards hosted by actresses Gabrielle Union and Regina King.

The award show, which will be held in conjunction with this year’s VH1 Hip-Hop Honors, will take place on Saturday, October 6 at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Presenters and performers scheduled to attend include Rihanna , Catherine Malandrino, Mario, Ashanti, Erykah Badu, Mya, Andre Harrell, Rissi Palmer, Valazquez Sisters, Rain Pryor, Jean Baylor and Emily King, among others.

Black Girls Rock! pays homage to exceptional women of color in various fields who have impacted the culture. This year the list includes such notables as Sylvia Rhone, Susan Taylor, Tracy Reese, Chrisette Michelle, The Rutgers Women’s Basketball Team, Marsha Ambrosius, DJ Diamond Kuts and Lisa Evers.
