Rihanna’s the Raining Queen of Pop World

Talk about a marketing campaign that writes itself.

R&B sensation Rihanna’s mega-popular song “Umbrella” has been on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 15 weeks, and now the singer has developed her own line of - you guessed it - umbrellas.

Makes you wonder what took her so long.

The 19-year-old Barbadian has partnered with Totes, a British company considered the daddy of rainwear and accessories.

She has lent her name to five new products. They range in price from $14.99 - for a slender umbrella bearing her name - to $50 for a large, heavy-duty version.

In contrast to her sexy, flashy style, the new items are plain and simple - available only in monotones. You can buy them at www.totes-isotoner.com.

Rihanna’s dance hit, which made its debut in April, is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and just capped off its 10th week atop the charts in the U.K.

The young singer has sold 5.4 million albums. Her most recent, “Good Girl Gone Bad,” has been in the top 20 on the Billboard 200 for the past six weeks.

Endorsing the umbrella brand also will turn a new page for the singer - she isn’t known for encouraging her fans to cover up.

In the “Umbrella” video, Rihanna gained infamy by appearing wearing nothing but silver paint.
